Trimox (Amoxicillin)

General information

Trimox is an antibiotic in the penicillin group of drugs. It fights bacteria in your body and is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as ear infections, bladder infections, pneumonia.

Directions

You may take Trimox with a glass of water and with or without meal. The dose must be 250-500 mg every eight hours, 500-875 mg each twelve hours. The dose for children must different.

Precautions

Take Trimox exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts. Take the full course of cure. Tell the doctor if you had asthma, diabetes or kidney illness.

Contraindications

Avoid using the medicine if you have an allergy.

Possible side effect

It may cause giddy, diarrhea, confusion, allergy.

Drug intarction

Before taking Trimox, tell your doctor if you are using oral contraceptives, other antibiotics, including tetracycline.

Missed dose

Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.

Overdose

If you think you have overdosed Trimox seek emergency medical help at once. Overdose symptoms may include confusion, behavior changes, a severe skin rash, urinating less than usual, or seizure.

Storage

Store your medicines at room temperature between 20-25 C (68-77 F).
